We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during peak season (May–October) when availability fills quickly. That said, we do accommodate last-minute requests subject to fleet availability — reach out and we'll do our best. Multi-day cross-border expeditions benefit from 6–8 weeks lead time due to permit processing.

Every Mabeco tour includes: a professional licensed guide-driver, a specialised Land Cruiser 4×4, all park entry fees, door-to-door pickup and drop-off from your Maputo accommodation, and a bush breakfast and picnic lunch on full-day tours. Optional add-ons include a bush chef for overnight trips, camping equipment, professional photography assistance and custom itinerary design.

We accept bank transfer (USD, EUR, ZAR), PayPal, and cash (USD or Mozambican Metical). A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due 14 days before departure. For last-minute bookings, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Cancellations more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund minus the deposit. Between 30–60 days, 50% of the total booking is refundable. Under 30 days the booking is non-refundable. We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected changes. In the event of a cancellation caused by Mabeco Tours (e.g. vehicle emergency), a full refund or complimentary rebooking is offered.

We specialise in ground transport, guided safari experiences and expedition logistics — not flights or hotels directly. However, we work with a trusted network of Maputo accommodation partners and can recommend options to suit every budget. We're also happy to advise on the best airports, transfer logistics and visa requirements to make your full trip as smooth as possible.

All Mabeco expeditions are private — meaning your vehicle and guide are exclusively for your group. We do not run shared or group tours. This allows us to tailor the pace, stops and experience entirely around your preferences. Each Land Cruiser accommodates up to 7 passengers comfortably. Larger groups requiring multiple vehicles are also accommodated — just let us know at enquiry stage.
